Let’s Celebrate School Boards

January 2024 is School Board Appreciation Month.

Our partners at the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) refer to January as “a time to acknowledge the invaluable contributions school boards make to public education.”

At Our Public Schools Work, we are keenly aware of the infulence school boards have on the teaching and learning environments in Indiana’s public schools, and we believe these public servants deserve our support and encouragement.

“School board members are dedicated local leaders who give their personal time and energy to making important decisions that support student success, and their commitment deserves recognition,” says Adam VanOsdol, ISBA Communications Specialist/Content Strategist. “[This January,] let’s come together to show our collective appreciation for our incredible school board members and the vital role they play within our school communities.”

ISBA assembled this helpful toolkit for celebrating School Board Appreciation Month. It includes social media graphics, appreciation certificates, posters, and more.
